2024 | DINNER 6 – TO BE SUSTAINABLY GROUNDED.

The environment is everywhere—woven into the fabric of our lives and yet so often avoided in deeper conversations. For this dinner, we chose to explore the Earth with intimacy and curiosity, creating a space where guests could reflect on their role in its future. In a world filled with noise, we wanted to bring the focus back to the quiet urgency of our planet’s story.

If it came down to it, would you prioritize saving human lives over preserving endangered species or ecosystems? How can we address overpopulation while respecting personal freedoms and cultural values? What’s one environmentally harmful habit you refuse to give up, even though you know the impact? Have you ever lied about being eco-friendly to appear more responsible? Who do you think bears more responsibility for climate change: individuals or corporations—and why? Do you experience guilt about your environmental footprint? How do you justify inaction on climate issues while knowing future generations will face the consequences? What emotions come up when you think about climate change?

One Planet, Two Poles, Three Pillars, Four Elements. This theme became the guiding structure for the evening—a framework that invited our guests to see the environment not just as a topic, but as an experience.
Each aspect of the dinner was thoughtfully designed to provoke questions, challenge perspectives, and engage the senses. From the menu to the table design, every element was carefully crafted to deepen the dialogue around sustainability and our shared responsibility for the planet.
This was more than a meal; it was an exploration of the Earth’s complexities—its beauty, its fragility, and the stories we often leave untold.
Our first ever “green” menu took center stage, highlighting ingredients like algae and mushrooms—symbols of both life’s beginnings and its uncertain future.
One Planet

Fresh herb mousse dome, herb vinegar jelly, pomegranate, faiselbirne, edible leaves
Two Poles

Each dish told a story—of connection, of urgency, of the delicate balance between preservation and destruction.

The AM to PM Loft provided a space where elegance met reflection. Surrounded by vintage, refurbished furniture, the theme unfolded: In the comfort of our home, we’re going to discuss what’s happening outside.
The table was adorned with microgreens from Keimling Köln, edible centerpieces that invited touch and interaction. The menu presentation—delicate flowers trapped in plastic, layered with cigarette butts and papers—spoke to the suffocating impact of pollution on nature’s beauty. Every detail was intentional, blurring the line between art and reality to provoke thought and spark connection.
What began as a calm evening quickly transformed into one of our most intense dinners yet. Conversations were fiery and passionate, touching on privilege, personal responsibility, and the double standards we all live with. Some guests entered wondering if the environment was truly a “taboo” topic; others brought deeply personal connections to sustainability. As the evening unfolded, moments of discomfort gave way to honesty, and guests reflected on their role in shaping the planet’s future. Through it all, the absence of small talk and the raw exchange of ideas reminded us why these dinners matter: to create a space where silence is broken, and bold conversations flourish.
A heartfelt thank you to LA Cold Press for their adaptogen mixes, which brought moments of calm to a dynamic evening. These thoughtful touches complemented our conversation-filled table and reminded us of the beauty in balance

2023 | DINNER 2 – HARD TO DIGEST.

we hosted this second culinary experience within the und.wieder gallery that we have redecorated for the occasion. The topic was kinda hard to digest. Our aim with “digest” was to talk, eat and bring awareness around the topic of Irritable Bowel Syndrome like the Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitisa. A topic close to our heart and gut, touching people in our close surrounding and beyond.

2024 | DINNER 5 – NOURISHMENT FOR THE MIND

Mental health touches all of us, yet it often hides in the shadows, wrapped in stigma or discomfort. For this Dinner, we wanted to change that. Inspired by conversations within our community, we crafted an evening that brought mental health to the table—literally and figuratively. It was a space to reflect, connect, and explore the complexities of our minds together.

2024 | DINNER 4 – A FEAST FOR THE AGES.

Aging is a journey we all share, yet it often remains shrouded in stigma and silence. Inspired by a conversation with someone twice our age, we delved into the evolution of the body, perceptions, and generational dynamics. This dinner was designed to spark a meaningful exploration of aging through the lenses of food, conversation, and shared experience.
